#1 - Immigrants From Finland

My husband's paternal line, Ervasti, came from Finland around 1880 according to the census records in regards to the first of his line, John Ervasti. He seems to have first settled  in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, in the Franklin/Calumet area of Houghton County, where he worked in the mines and married his wife.

My husbands maternal line is German and I will share that line in a separate blog for ease in understanding. I will not share information on living descendants nor photos of them. The genealogy that I will share is designed for ease of reading by non-genealogy researchers. Therefore, I will not use pedigree sheets, nor family group sheets, or the source citations that go along with that research. That kind of presentation can be found on the website of the Ervasti line that I created. It is also called ErvastiTree but has been created with the Google Sites templates and can be found that way in a Google search.
